Diving Cruises

Serious divers will want to consider a live aboard cruise. There is a small selection of ships in the Galápagos which offer live-aboard diving trips. These are usually quite comfortable and have top-notch gear and guides and all of them will have gear for rent and skilled dive masters with years of experience. The diving in Galápagos is unforgettable, and these live-aboard offer the chance to head out to the remote islands of Darwin and Wolf, where seeing Whale Sharks, Hammerheads, Manta Rays and other spectacular marine life is commonplace. Please note that dive ships usually do not visit traditional landing sites, and may want to combine these cruises with some additional days to see giant tortoises, land iguanas, etc.

Galapagos diving is an underwater adventure of a lifetime and is continuously voted one of the world’s best dive sites. The Galapagos is the second largest Marine Reserve in the world and though located directly on the equator it sits at the convergence of cold water currents from Antarctica and the warm waters of the tropics forming a unique environment where both cold and warm water species coexist. Galapagos diving can best be described as spectacular, especially diving at Wolf and Darwin with schools of hammerheads, Galapagos, silky and black tip sharks, giant mantas and whale sharks!
